I didn't think this post would happen so soon, but tonight made it absolutely necessary. A little background - Murphy is our sweet, adorable, and playful puppy. We rescued him in June and have loved him (sometimes more than others) ever since. Murphy is a very smart puppy, and no, I'm not just some prideful owner who wants to babble on and on about how awesome his dog is. Murphy truly is smart. And this will be the first example (of many I'm sure). Jessica and I were enjoying a nice relaxing evening catching up on our DVR (if you must know, The Voice and Two Broke Girls). Jess looks at Murphy and says "Murphy, what are you doing? Are you digging a hole in the carpet?" At this point, Murphy coyly moves his paw to the right a little, looks up at Jess and then down and away (caught red-handed). He knows when he's in trouble. Luckily I had the camera right next to me (why you ask, I was uploading some pictures I had taken earlier in the night for my other blog), I quickly gave it to Jess and she snapped these pictures. Perhaps he's helping mommy get her new carpet?

| Can't see anything but normal dirty carpet - right? |
 |
| Still can't, but you can tell by the look in his eyes, he's guilty of something. |
