I'm dreaming of a White (and Clinton) Christmas...

We had an awesome time celebrating Christmas with my family on Wednesday! We spent the morning getting food ready with my parents and then headed over to the hospital to celebrate with my little brother Josh. He was in an accident on Monday and had to spend Christmas in the hospital. No fun! But, it was nice for us all to spend some time with him.

Then we headed back to my parents house for dinner and time with my extended family. We recently started a fun new tradition of playing a gift exchange game. It has been fun having something to do as a big family unit, instead of breaking off into our little groups! Scott and I came home with an Applebee's gift card and wine and cute Christmas wine glasses!

Then, after the extended family went home, we sat down and opened presents with our family. As always, my parents were overly generous! We got some fabulous gifts and were able to surprise others with some great gifts as well. :)

Even Murphy got presents!

Hailee was VERY excited about her Dorothy costume.

Mom's gift from Scott and I! I think she loved it!

As promised...

Here are some photos from our family Christmas. It was a wonderful morning with some fun surprises for both Scott and I.

I wanted us to start some of our own family traditions, this being our first year of married Christmas. We are hoping to continue the tradition of going to A Christmas Carol at the Guthrie every year. Another fun tradition I wanted to start was getting new Christmas jammies every year that we open on Christmas Eve. Naturally, we had to get a pair for Murphy! Not sure how he felt about the situation, but he looked pretty darn cute! He also figured out how to open his presents... with a little bit of help! :)

It has been such an amazing year and it was so wonderful to celebrate the amazing life we are sharing.

Now the photos!
